This is a page for our livestock guardians. I will slowly add pictures as I can.

We have 1 great guardian female llama. Her name is Salty. She is not registered, but I believe she is 8-9 years old. Just in early January of 2011, Salty had a cria - a little black boy!! Pictures will be up when I can get 'em up!

For dogs, "Bear" is a Pyreness/Anatolian/mutt, but a good guard. She stays with our does.

Jethro is a Great Pyreness and is bonded with our bucks and guards them well.

Armor is our new Pyreness puppy. He is growing up with our baby goats from this year and is doing great, and slowly getting used to the rest of the herd. I think he is going to get very big!

There are also the other dogs who just run the ranch but don't stay with the livestock always - Shamrah (Pyreness/Anatolian); Caleb (Border Collie/Kelpie - you'd never know he's supposedly a "herding" dog!); Molly is a young English shepherd who is sleeps in the house all the time but is a super great dog; and then there is Calevah, our 13 or so year old girl who lives out the back door!
