In our dairy herd, we raise good milking, show quality Mini Nubians, along with a few Nubians. Mini Nubians are great for the hobby farmer or family farm. They are small, in between the size of a Nigerian Dwarf and Nubian. Mini Nubians give the same quality and quantity of milk as the Nubian, yet are small and easy to handle. They are playful like the Nigerian. Plus, they are very cute! In addition to this, they can have blue eyes from the Nigerian side and have a year round heat cycle for breeding purposes. We have also been playing around with a few Boer goats and recently added in a new Fullblood buckling (Gander) and 5 Fullblood doelings. We are also planning on breeding most of our Standard Nubians to our FB Boer buck once we get to Oklahoma. There should be some nice percentages (Lord willing) from these breedings. *NOTE* - Our plan is to move to eastern Oklahoma at the end of August, 2008, Lord willing.
